Art In Unexpected Places
Pop Box Gallery brings zero-commission visual art exhibits and multidisciplinary arts programming to unexpected places.
We work to connect local artists to resources, cultivate a culture of arts patronage, and raise the visibility of the Triangle arts community.

The final show was upstART Gallery: a Jim Lee project.
Boxyard RTP Residency
Pop Box Gallery completed a 3-month residency inside of a shipping container at Boxyard RTP in May 2022. We transformed the space into an art gallery and presented rotating exhibits of visual art by Triangle-based artists. The pilot program demonstrated that our innovative model can support working artists, make art fun, inclusive and accessible to all, and support the local economy. Check out our accomplishments in the Residency Report.
